Whether in Kindergarten, 1st Grade or Second Grade these worksheets will help your class or child in learning how to write numbers in words. These worksheets will provide you with some simple but engaging number practice for kids. Your student or child will learn how to write the number name and associate the figure to words. Writing numbers in word form will soon become second nature to them.
Each number set has 4 worksheets and each worksheet focuses on different ways to memorise the number in word form. I have included a cover sheet to use if you would like. These can be put in front of math books if doing a unit on numbers or displayed on an IWB or computer screen.
The first and second worksheets focus on:
- Â recognising numeral and number name correlation
- Â counting and number order (in number form and word form)
- Â identifying the number and number name amongst other words.
- Â tracing and copying the number name.
The third and fourth worksheets focus on:
- cut & paste page with putting letters of the number name in the right order, sentence making and number matching.
- reading unfamiliar/familiar words and using their phonics knowledge to read the word then the sentence.
- writing practice for the number name.
The pages in each set were created to be used as worksheets however they can also be used in a write and wipe centre with a dry-erase/whiteboard marker. Simply print the pages of each set, depending on the number you are focusing on, and laminate.
